Description
Black Silicon Carbide #22 Grit is a coarse-grade silicon carbide abrasive manufactured from high-purity petroleum coke and silica sand through high-temperature electric furnace smelting, followed by crushing, grading, and precise particle size control.
Featuring exceptional hardness, sharp angular particles, and excellent wear resistance, Black Silicon Carbide #22 Grit delivers fast cutting performance with improved surface consistency. Its coarse yet slightly finer particle size than #16 grit provides an ideal balance between aggressive material removal and controlled surface finishing, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial abrasive applications.
Compared with coarser silicon carbide grits, #22 Black Silicon Carbide Grit offers more uniform cutting action while maintaining high stock removal efficiency. It is widely used for abrasive blasting, metal surface preparation, rust and scale removal, stone processing, refractory manufacturing, rough grinding, and other heavy-duty industrial applications.
