It combines excellent hardness with sharp cutting edges, providing efficient material removal and long service life. F24 is suitable for both bonded abrasives and coated abrasive products.

Applications:

  • Grinding wheels
  • Sandblasting
  • Surface preparation
  • Stone cutting
  • Metal fabrication

Description

Black Silicon Carbide #24 Grit is a coarse-grade silicon carbide abrasive material manufactured from high-purity petroleum coke and silica sand through high-temperature electric furnace smelting, crushing, and precise sizing processes.

With excellent hardness, sharp cutting edges, and outstanding abrasive performance, Black Silicon Carbide #24 Grit delivers fast cutting action and efficient material removal while providing a more uniform surface finish than coarser grades. Its particle size is ideal for abrasive blasting, surface preparation, grinding, and industrial applications requiring a balance of cutting efficiency and surface quality.

Compared with #16 Black Silicon Carbide Grit, #24 Black Silicon Carbide Grit offers finer particle distribution, improved surface consistency, and better control during processing while maintaining excellent stock removal capability. It is widely used for rust removal, metal surface cleaning, refractory processing, rough grinding, stone processing, and general-purpose abrasive blasting applications.
