Black Silicon Carbide #14

Black Silicon Carbide F14 is an extra coarse abrasive grain designed for heavy-duty grinding and blasting applications. Its large particle size and sharp edges provide rapid material removal, making it suitable for cleaning castings, removing heavy rust, and preparing metal surfaces before coating. F14 is widely used in foundries, steel fabrication, and industrial surface preparation.

Applications:

  • Heavy sandblasting
  • Rust and scale removal
  • Surface preparation
  • Foundry cleaning
  • Steel structure treatment

Description

Black Silicon Carbide #14 Grit is a coarse-grade silicon carbide abrasive material manufactured from high-purity petroleum coke and silica sand through high-temperature electric furnace smelting, crushing and precise sizing processes.

With excellent hardness, sharp cutting edges and strong abrasive performance, Black Silicon Carbide #14 Grit delivers aggressive cutting action and efficient material removal. Its relatively coarse particle size makes it ideal for heavy-duty surface preparation, abrasive blasting, grinding and applications requiring fast cutting performance.

Compared with finer silicon carbide grits, #14 Black Silicon Carbide Grit provides higher impact force and stronger stock removal capability, making it a preferred abrasive material for demanding industrial applications such as rust removal, surface cleaning, refractory processing and rough grinding.
