Description
Black Silicon Carbide #40 Grit is a coarse-grade silicon carbide abrasive material manufactured from high-purity petroleum coke and silica sand through high-temperature electric furnace smelting, crushing, and precise sizing processes.
With exceptional hardness, sharp cutting edges, and excellent abrasive performance, Black Silicon Carbide #40 Grit provides efficient material removal while producing a smoother and more consistent surface finish than coarser grit sizes. Its balanced particle size makes it suitable for abrasive blasting, grinding, surface preparation, and industrial applications requiring both high cutting efficiency and improved finish quality.
Compared with #36 Black Silicon Carbide Grit, #40 Black Silicon Carbide Grit features a finer particle distribution, offering enhanced surface uniformity and greater processing control while maintaining excellent cutting performance and durability. It is widely used for metal surface preparation, rust removal, stone processing, refractory manufacturing, bonded abrasives, foundry applications, and general-purpose abrasive blasting.
