Black Silicon Carbide #36 Grit is a coarse-grade silicon carbide abrasive material manufactured from high-purity petroleum coke and silica sand through high-temperature electric furnace smelting, crushing, and precise sizing processes.
With exceptional hardness, sharp cutting edges, and outstanding abrasive performance, Black Silicon Carbide #36 Grit provides fast and efficient material removal while producing a more consistent surface finish than coarser grit sizes. Its balanced particle size makes it ideal for abrasive blasting, surface preparation, grinding, and industrial applications requiring both high cutting efficiency and controlled surface quality.
Compared with #30 Black Silicon Carbide Grit, #36 Black Silicon Carbide Grit features a finer particle distribution that improves surface uniformity while maintaining excellent cutting performance and durability. It is widely used for metal surface preparation, rust removal, stone processing, refractory manufacturing, rough grinding, foundry applications, and general-purpose abrasive blasting.
